Miami’s basketball team faces ACC rival Notre Dame in a Monday night showdown

The Hurricanes need to find a way to bounce back against Notre Dame after dropping three straight.

Miami travels to face Notre Dame 7 p.m. Monday at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.

Who: Miami (18-8, 7-7 ACC) vs. Notre Dame (16-11, 6-8 ACC)

The Hurricanes (18-8, 7-7 ACC) lost, 62-55, to Syracuse on Saturday in the team’s last home game. Miami is on a three-game slide but is 6-4 in road games this season.

Miami is averaging 73.8 points per game and Notre Dame is allowing 68.6 points per game.

Notre Dame is averaging 76.4 points per game and Miami is giving up 66.1 points per game.

The ‘Canes are 3-4 against the ACC this season but could move to .500 with a win Monday.

Notre Dame beat Boston College 84-67 in the team’s last outing. The Fighting Irish won three of their last four games and defeated Miami 67-62 last season.

In Bruce Brown Jr.’s absence, Dewan Huell has stepped in to lead the team in scoring. Huell is averaging 11.7 points per game. Freshmen Chris Lykes and Lonnie Walker IV have asserted themselves in the starting lineup and need to continue their offensive production to beat the Fighting Irish.

Miami returns home to face Boston College 2 p.m. Saturday.
