Miami Hurricanes Football: Canes Super Bowl Post Game Commentary

Remembering Canes NFL Football in 2017

NFL: New England Patriots at Denver Broncos Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Congrats to the Eagles for winning their first super bowl. FINALLY, someone other than Brady won a championship. The only bitter part is Phillip Dorsett, a Canes alum and WR for the Pats, could have but did not win the whole thing.

First, big hug to Dorsett who became the 119th Miami Hurricanes alum to play in the super bowl.

Dorsett finished the game with one catch for 19 yards.

Shout out first to Sam Adebiyi who manipulated me into a fantasy trade, in which I gave up Aaron Rodgers for AJ Green, right before Rodgers broke his collarbone.

I’ve had to get on my knees a few times and praise Sam’s existence. It’s the only way to feel better. He is an old friend and executor of my gullibility. Onto my favorite Canes moments in the NFL 2017.

Frank Gore had an amazing season. It wasn’t his best statistically but wow one of the all time greats.

Jags record 14.5 sacks by Calais Campbell. Easily his best pro year.

Another one of my favorite plays is from Duke Johnson.

I loved seeing Artie Burns score an int. His only one in 2017.

Lamar Miller didn’t have a ton of touchdowns this season but anything is possible with him.

Overall, it’s been a pleasure and treat to report on NFL Canes alum week to week. I appreciate you all reading my posts. Onward to victory! And Tyson Campbell!
