The Miami Hurricanes opened up spring practice by hitting the Greentree practice fields on Tuesday Morning. The first of 15 practice sessions over the course of the next month, Miami will look to use the time to figure out some position battles, and work hard on player development.
After the session, several players and coaches held court with the assembled media for interviews. The videos of these interviews can be seen below.
Head Coach Mark Richt
Offensive Coordinator and Running Backs Coach Thomas Brown
Quarterback Malik Rosier
Safety Jaquan Johnson
Linebacker Shaquille Quarterman
Offensive Lineman Tyler Gauthier

Also, 247sports has the Canes #5 in their too early spring top 25 for the 2018 season. But, there’s a sufficient amount of (deserved) shade in there as well.
We spent a lot of 2017 debating whether The U was truly back. There will probably be more of that until Miami can stop almost losing to bad teams on a regular basis. https://t.co/nfQREw64zx pic.twitter.com/pJ6nI9WKPn

Also, SBNation Recruiting Analyst Bud Elliot had plenty to say about top recruits to know from Florida yesterday, an article that included 10 Canes commits or targets
10 Miami commits/targets discussed in this State of Florida recruiting update @TheStateOfTheU #Canes https://t.co/4xVc4oH48C

Also if you’re looking for a list of jersey numbers for the early-enrollee freshmen
For the early enrollee freshmen, the numbers are as follows:
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) March 20, 2018
Lingard 1
Frierson 3
Hightower 7
Ivey 8
Wiggins 8
Rousseau 15
Williams 15
Hall 26
Scaife 51
Campbell 72
others will be announced when they enroll later this year. https://t.co/7R0e519dyx
And that’ll do it for today.
Plenty for you to watch, read, and enjoy.
A kind reminder, that it’s only 1 day of practice, with only a small portion being available for the media to view. So just R-E-L-A-X on the hot takezzzzzz and let the team grind, okay?
Okay.
