Tarquin’s recruitment to Miami took a circuitous route, to say the least. He was a top target for Miami at OT this time last year, but over the course of the last 12 months was linked to other schools more prominently, most notably Urban Meyer’s Ohio State.
However, in recent weeks, Miami has turned the heat back up on Tarquin, a 6’5” 290lb tackle with good size, length, and skill. Tarquin has the ability to be a frontline player at OT for the Canes, and that’s something that has been missing at the position in recent years.
Still just 16 years old, Tarquin is the 26th ranked OT in America and 42nd overall in the State of Florida. As noted earlier, Tarquin picked Miami over 23 other offers, including Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and others.
Tarquin is the 2nd commitment along the OL for Miami in this class. He joined OG Kingsley Eguakun up front in this class. Tarquin is the 11th commitment for Miami overall in a class that currently ranks 7th in America per 247sports.
And, because you want them, here are Tarquin’s highlights for your viewing pleasure.
