On Friday evening 2019 Mount Dora Christian Academy LB Jesiah Pierre backed off his verbal pledge to attend the University of Miami.
The Mount Dora, Florida native had originally committed to Miami in 2016. Pierre was an attendee of Miami’s Paradise Camp not long ago. However, interest in the recruit has picked up leading to a change in heart. With Florida, Georgia and North Carolina entering the mix after offering Pierre a scholarship, the full-court press in Pierre’s recruitment has turned up significantly.
With Pierre out of the fold, the Hurricanes’ 2019 recruiting class currently sits 6th in the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Miami does have three linebacker commits in the class with St. Thomas Aquinas linebackers Anthony Solomon and Avery Huff, as well as Miami Northwestern’s LB Samuel Brooks. At the moment there are 12 commits in Miami's 2019 class.
IT’S ALWAYS ABOUT THE U!
