As it should be

In a surprise to no one, the media voted the Miami Hurricanes as the preseason favorites to win the Coastal Division championship.

A year after winning their first Coastal Division crown, the Canes garnered 122 of a possible 148 votes to be the Coastal Division champions, and look to repeat by winning the division and continue the upward trajectory of the program.

There’s still work to be done overall, however, as Miami earned only 5 of 148 votes to win the ACC Championship. Defending Champion Clemson received 139 votes to win the Conference again.

With the most talented team in the division, no matter how you slice it, Miami figures to be favored in every game against division opponents, as well as every game overall in the 2018 season. Mark Richt and his staff have given Miami new life after a decade of football purgatory, and the media saw this, and thusly voted Miami to win the division again.

Miami’s biggest competition in the Coastal Division is Justin Fuente’s Virginia Tech Hokies which received 16 votes for the top spot in the Coastal. These 2 teams are on a collision course for a huge game in Blacksburg on November 17th, and that game could possibly determine the division champion.

But as of today, Miami is the OVERWHELMING favorite to win the division.

Now it’s time to go win it. Again.
