Thursday was another day of practice for the Miami Hurricanes. The team hit the field for another morning session, their 6th consecutive day of practice.
Michael Pinckney held out of practice
After Wednesday’s practice, it was reported that junior LB Michael Pinckney was in a walking boot as a precaution. Pinckney was seen working out on the side during Thursday’s practice with a trainer.
LB Michael Pinckney is working in full pads on the side doing some conditioning at today’s practice. Richt will address media in a few hours.

After practice, Mark Richt said Pinckney was held out after “tweaking an ankle” on Wednesday. Richt said that the hope is that by not practicing on Thursday, and with an off day on Friday, that Pinckney will be able to participate in the first scrimmage of the fall on Saturday evening.
Per Mark Richt, Michael Pinckney tweaked an ankle, was held out today. With no practice tomorrow, the hope is he can go in Saturday's scrimmage.

Miami has one of the best LB groups in America, and Pinckney is a huge reason for that. Hopefully he’ll be able to bounce back and return to the field in short order.
