Tailgate Part 2 - Anticipation & Anxiety, Hurricane Season, Dreams, STFU

Anticipation & Anxiety

As a multiple decade Cane fan who has lived thru the rise and fall of the Great Cane Period, the 2018 season is eagerly anticipated but loaded with anxiety. Cannot wait until kickoff but we are all wondering the same things: will Malik improve, will the o-line be monsters and will the defense stop giving up so many huge plays. Based on recent feedback from Coach Richt it seems the Canes have indeed improved. There is a sense of confidence in him which can only come from what he is seeing in the scrimmages.

Hurricane Season

It's that time of year again. The winds are coming. The new Canes are showing some old Cane flavor. Nesta the freshman said, "Make the crib great." Not long until we see that on orange hats with green letters. That is leadership waiting to happen. We also have two pre-season all-Americans. How long has that been? Add to that a huge fullback to plow some LBs and a 5 star RB chomping at the bits.

Dreams

Dreams of greatness are back. Pre-season Top Ten. ACC championships. National championships. Canes are in the discussion. Haven't had this since 2003. Canes will be 2021 national champions. Book it.

STFU

For all the haters: Paul Feinbaum, SI, ESPN, referees and Sonny Long. Canes are going to make you STFU. 12 W's. Orange Bowl Champions. Playoff contenders. So STFU bitches!

Meanwhile, Amara La Negra, Cardi B and Scarlett Johanssen are under my Canes tent chilling at the tailgate. An unprecedented combination of hotness. Amara makes mojitos. Cardi B is cooking chicharron. Scarlett is grilling the ribeyes. Ahhhhh. Ok, a brother can dream right? After all it's...
