Recruit’s Game Recap — Week One

How Miami commits and targets fared in week one of the high school football season

247Sports

* Linebacker commits Avery Huff and Anthony Soloman were crucial factors in St. Thomas Aquinas’ domination over DeMatha (MD), as were major Hurricane targets Braylen Ingraham and Jordan Battle. Battle could possibly be underrated despite his four-star rating. He was always around the football and blanketed whoever was in his area. Aquinas defense as a unit was absolutely ridiculous.

Also featured in the game was Miami defensive lineman commit Jason Muñoz along-side Marcus Dumervil (2020) and Tyreak Sapp (2021) who are both Miami targets for their respective classes.

*Cardinal Gibbons defensive end and Miami target Khris Bogle hurt his knee and is on crutches. No timetable for his return

*Jahfari Harvey flashed his potential with a spin move that I saw over and over again on my Twitter timeline. I believe his is the steal of this class:

** 2019 Commits

RB Marcus Crowley (Jacksonville Trinity)– 214 yards and 3 touchdowns including a 95-yard TD run in 27-22 victory over Braden River
