Coming off a bad loss its’ time to recover on the field and on the trail.

The Miami Hurricanes had a very disappointing start to their season, and are facing a lot of lost momentum after the memories of a ten game win streak have been all but forgotten in the wake of a four game losing streak.

Despite the Hurricanes struggles on the field, recruiting never stops, and as we inch ever closer to the Early Signing Day on December 19th, the Hurricanes need to start to land some of their bigger targets.

To give you an idea on who some of those bigger targets may be; Cam Underwood provided his latest Class Breakdown last week. Check it out;

To me, considering the performance against LSU, and the lack of competition at the Quarterback spot, the most concerning thing about this year’s recruiting class is the lack of a QB. There will not be a signal-caller in the 2019 class, it’s a grad-transfer or nothing. Considering the situation as it stands at Miami right now, that is highly concerning, and we were reminded of how significant that may turn out to be after the game last Sunday.

In more positive news, 2019 DE Jahfari Harvey finally earned his spot in the 247sports.com Top 247 last week. The Vero Beach defender has had a monster start to the season, and it’s no surprise that he’s finally being recognized for it.

Harvey is not the only player that I expect to get a bump in this recruiting class. Talented players like RB Marcus Crowley have not gotten long expected bumps to their recruiting rankings yet, and that should change as the high school football season rolls along.

That being said, Miami has some work left to do on the trail. Things have kind of petered out as far as commitments have gone for the Hurricanes, and getting someone like Kenny McIntosh or Mark-Antony Richards to commit would be a good jump start for the Hurricanes recruiting efforts as we head into this final stretch before the Early Signing Day.

The dead period for recruiting officially ended last week, so let’s get some work done on the trail.

How do you think the ‘Canes will do over the next few weeks in recruiting? Let us know in the comments below.
