Welcome to the U, K.J. Osborn

Miami adds a game-ready receiver to what hopes to be a new-look offense in 2019.

The Miami Hurricanes went back on the transfer market to help bolster their offense when Buffalo WR K.J. Osborn announced he would be coming to Coral Gables to join the Canes.

A 6’0” 180lb receiver, Osborn hails from Bradenton, FL and attended the football factory at IMG Academy in HS. He was a 2-star recruit — an actual 2-star recruit — in the class of 2015 and signed with Buffalo over interest from Middle Tennessee State.

Osborn redshirted in 2015 before hitting the field for the Bulls over the last 3 seasons. And, in that time, Osborn has shown good skills and is a testament to player development over time.

Over the past 3 seasons, Osborn has accumulated nearly 1500 yards and 12 TDs receiving. His best year was this past year, where he had 892 yards and 7 TDs as one of QB Tyree Jackson’s top targets.

Osborn is going to step into the lineup for Miami from day 1. Having lost Ahmmon Richards (career ending injury), Jeff Thomas (dismissal/transfer), and Lawrence Cager (transfer) from the WR room, Miami needed a veteran player to join the young WR group. Osborn fits that bill to a T.

Manny Diaz has his 2nd commit from a game-ready transfer, and this one will help out on offense. I’m here for it.

Welcome to the U, K.J.!
