247Sports ranks Hodges as the 132nd safety in the 2020 recruiting cycle.
Hodges is the second defensive back to decommit from Miami this month, with Jaiden Francois (South Dade) announcing his decision on October 4th. Hodges is the 13th member of the 2020 Miami recruiting class to decommit.
As Cam Underwood talked about in his latest class breakdown article, Hodges has good size for a cornerback but his speed was in question, running around a 4.9 in a recruiting combine in the offseason.
Coach Manny Diaz and his staff will need to try and make up ground with defensive back recruits for this 2020 class.
