On Saturday morning, Miami Athletics announced junior Wide Receiver Jeff THomas will miss today’s game against Georgia Tech. Thomas will miss the game due to a violation of team rules, per UM.
Miami Athletics just announced WR Jeff Thomas is suspended for today's game for a violation of team rules. #Canes face Georgia Tech at noon.

With Thomas out, look for Mike Harley Jr and Mark Pope, the other speedy players at WR, to step into bigger roles today, Pope in particular. That also bumps every other receiver one spot further up the rotation, so guys like Dee Wiggins and Brian Hightower could see more time in the game, as well.
It is my sincere hope that this is a one-off event, and we do not have more infractions from or disciplinary action for Jeff Thomas this season. He’s far too talented and important a player for the Canes to have him missing time for silliness.
