After a standout performance on senior day against the Louisville Cardinals, senior LB Michael Pinckney was named ACC Linebacker of the week.
Causing nightmares all day.

Congratulations to Mike Pinckney on being named ACC Linebacker of the Week! pic.twitter.com/QeSZtLiLpV
Pinckney closed out his home career with 8 tackles, 3 TFLs, a QB hurry, and a sack. Yeah, that’ll work.

Here’s more on this award from Miami Athletics:
Making the final home start of his Hurricanes career, Pinckney delivered a dominant performance on defense in Miami’s Senior Day win. Pinckney finished with a game-high eight tackles (seven solo) and added three tackles for loss, totaling 11 yards, including a six-yard sack. He finished with one quarterback hurry and made the ninth start in 10 games this year, as well as the 45th start of his career in the win.
It was the first recognition of the year for Pinckney.
Pinckney and fellow linebacker Shaquille Quarterman have started together for 4 years at Miami. Fellow senior Zach McCloud is redshirting this year and will return as a 5th year senior in 2020. That trio has been integral to the growth and development of the Canes program over the past few years, and we are better for having had them.
