Miami is now down two wide receivers in its 2021 recruiting class on Sunday alone.

After Jacolby George of Plantation High announced his decommitment on Instagram, Romello Brinson of Miami Northwestern announced that he was no longer committed to Miami on Twitter not long after.

Both decommitments come less than 24 hours after Miami’s embarrassing 30-24 loss to Florida International at Marlins Park on Saturday night.

George led Plantation to the Class 7A-4 semifinals and had over 1,000 yards receiving this season.

Brinson helped lead the Bulls to the Class 5A state semifinals this season and scored a touchdown in Northwestern’s 23-20 victory over Plantation American Heritage in the Region 5A-4 championship game on Friday night.

Only Hialeah’s Fred Eaford and Brinson’s teammate Kahlil Brantley remain committed for Miami at the WR/TE position for the 2021 recruiting class for Manny Diaz.

Brantley tweeted on Saturday night that his commitment to Miami was solid.

Immediately after the FIU loss, 2020 defensive lineman Tre’von Riggins of St. Petersburg Lakewood announced his decommitment from Miami. Contact between Miami and Riggins had greatly slowed in recent months and the decommitment was not unexpected, Andrew Ivins of InsideTheU reported.
