All six Miami Hurricanes at the NFL Scouting Combine likely to be drafted, says Kiper - Miami Herald
“NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN indicated Tuesday during a national teleconference that there’s a good chance all six Miami Hurricanes who were invited to next week’s NFL Scouting Combine (Feb. 26 through March 4) in Indianapolis will be drafted. And he believes two of them could be taken in the first two rounds.”
Miami’s Emese Hof is espnW’s player of the week - ESPN
“Emese Hof had one of those “So can you believe that just happened?” smiles after her Miami team had just gotten one of the biggest victories in program history. That fits with her expansive, happy-go-lucky personality, but don’t ever mistake that for any lack of competitiveness.
Hof and the No. 20 Hurricanes played just one game this week, but it was a massive one. They upset No. 2 Louisville 79-73 on Sunday, the first time Miami has ever defeated a team ranked in the top two in the country.”
This Week in Hurricanes Baseball: February 19 Edition - State of the U
“The Hurricanes started the 2019 season with a sweep of Rutgers over the weekend. Several Hurricanes had great performances, and they’ll need to continue that with a tough week ahead. The sweep gave the Hurricanes their first 3-0 start since 2016, which was enough to earn Miami a No.30 Ranking in this week’s Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll”
Miami Hurricanes 2019 Recruiting Notebook; DT Jalar Holley - State of the U
“...when Simpson went out on the recruiting trail this year, he returned to his old stomping grounds — a few years removed after stints at Georgia Southern and with the Atlanta Falcons — in Buford to go after 2019 DT Jalar Holley. A stout 6’2” 280lb player, Holley fit the bill for the kind of interior defender that Simpson wanted to bring to Miami’s defense.”
ACC Basketball Power Rankings: 2/19 - State of the U
“12. Miami Hurricanes (LW: 13) 11-14 (3-10)
Last Week: W vs Clemson 65-64, L @ BC 57-64; Next Week: vs GT 2/23
Tough or Easier Week Ahead: Easier - The Canes have had a rough season so far, but have found some success lately winning 2 of their last 4. GT is on an opposite trajectory, having lost 7 straight.”
Miami Hurricanes 2019 Recruiting Notebook: DT Jared Harrison-Hunte - State of the U
“After getting 4-star DT Jason Blissett and 3-star OT Adam ElGammal to both sign during the Early Signing Period in December, Miami had to regroup after missing out on a couple other linemen. In their search to find quality players to add to the roster, the Canes looked to ElGammal’s HS teammate and Blissett’s good friend: DT Jared Harrison-Hunte.”
Previewing Manny Diaz’s First Opponent as Miami’s Head Coach - State of the U
“The ‘Canes faceoff against the Florida Gators to begin the ‘Manny Diaz Era.’ A bitter and history-rich rivalry — but lacking in recent installments. Since 1986, the teams have only played 8 times. History is on Miami’s side though, winning the last 7 of 8 meetings, and leading the all-time series 29-26. Miami also won the most recent chapter of the rivalry, which took place early in the 2013 season.”
