The Miami Hurricanes lost out on Ft. Lauderdale (FL) Cardinal Gibbons 4-star DE Khris Bogle for a 2nd time this recruiting cycle when the 6’4” 210lb rusher flipped his commitment from the Alabama Crimson Tide to the Florida Gators.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: this is another loss for Miami with a local player in recent years. Bogle, who was once set to commit to Miami back in the spring, has been all over the place in his recruitment. Close to announcing for Miami on multiple occasions, then committing to Alabama, then looking around after staff changes at Alabama, to signing with Florida today. This recruitment was one of the most busy ones in recent years.
Adding Bogle would have been great for Miami, obviously, as he’s a high caliber, All-American player. But, the Canes still have 4-star Jahfari Harvey already enrolled, and 3-star Cam Williams signed at DE in this class, so there’s talent there already. Just not as much as there would have been if Bogle would have picked Miami.
We wish Khris Bogle the best in his future endeavors, and look forward to seeing him on the field in Orlando on August 31st when Miami and Florida square off to start the 2019 season.
