Dan Enos got his man at QB in the 2020 recruiting class on Monday afternoon when Glastonbury (CT) Suffield Academy 4-star Tyler Van Dyke committed to the Canes.

In recent weeks, Miami has expanded the QB offer board significantly, but even with that being the case, Enos had narrowed in on Van Dyke as his #1 target at the position.
At 6’4” 212lbs, Van Dyke has very good size for the position, and a very, VERY strong arm. Van Dyke threw for nearly 2,000 yards as a HS junior, and should eclipse those numbers this fall. But more important than his stats is his athletic profile and potential, 2 things that Enos thinks very highly of.
Van Dyke committed to Miami over offers from Syracuse — once thought to be the clear favorites for his commitment — Boston College, California, and others. He is the first, and likely only, QB in Miami’s 2020 recruiting class.
For a better look at Miami’s newest QB commit, check out the HUDL highlights below. And if you’re wondering about his arm, just watch the first throw. With a flick of the wrist, Van Dyke throws a laser about 60-65 yards in the air on a dime.
Yeah buddy!
