100 Greatest Plays In Miami History: #93-Santana Moss Punt-return Touchdown Against BC In 2000

Moss put away Boston College and ran into the Miami record books in 2000.

Santana Moss #6

Santana Moss remains to this day as one of the best players ever to come through the University of Miami. Even now, Moss still holds school records in all-purpose yards (4,402 yards), receiving yards (2,546), punt return yards (1,196) and career punts returned for touchdowns (6).

He also was a part of a time in UM’s history where we saw the Canes rise to prominence once again. In 2000, Miami finished the year 11-1, proving to the nation that the Hurricanes were back. In Moss’ final home game against Boston College, he gave the faithful at the Orange Bowl one final memory.

During this game, Moss broke Ottis Anderson’s record at UM for all-purpose yards. Throughout his NFL career, Moss would continue his skills at receiver as well as returning kicks and punts.

GO CANES!
