Despite a strong season from the Miami Hurricanes the NCAA Baseball Selection Committee felt that the ‘Canes resume was not quite good enough to put them into the 2019 NCAA Tournament as a Top 16 seed.
Miami will not host a regional in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. ‘Canes lost out after losing to UNC on Friday and having the Tar Heels go on to win the ACC Tournament. Shame that one loss, in Durham, knocks Miami out, but a series of other hosting bubble teams made runs this week.

The Hurricanes were in a very good spot to host entering the week, but a loss to UNC on Friday put the ‘Canes on the bubble to host. A few other teams jumped Miami with stronger performances in their own conference tournaments, and as a result the ‘Canes missed out on beginning the postseason at home.
Instead, Miami will be the No.2 seed in another regional, and they will wait until the Selection Show Monday afternoon to find out where they will travel to. The show begins at 12:00 P.M. Eastern and is broadcast on ESPN U.
