If you bring up the name Chavez Grant to Hurricanes fans, I'll say that more than half of them don’t know who he is. I mean, I couldn’t recognize the name if you gave it to me.
However, Grant, who played for the Canes from 2006 to 2009, had one of the most memorable blocks and biggest hits in Miami history.
The year was 2008, and Randy Shannon’s Hurricanes were hosting UNC in their new home of Sun Life Stadium, baseball field and all. With Miami up 7-0 in the first quarter, the Tar Heels lined up to punt, with Travis Benjamin waiting deep to return.

Grant’s absolute decleater is one that got a rise out of people in 2008, and it still does today in 2019.
GO CANES!
