The Windy City Flyer, Devin Hester makes another appearance on this list, and again, it won't be the last one either, not even close. When you’re as electrifying as Hester was at Miami, it’s a given that you’ll see a lot of him on a list like this.
This particular plays comes in the 2004 season, Hester’s sophomore year for the Hurricanes. On a chilly night in Raleigh, North Carolina, and in front of a frenzy home crowd for NC State, the Canes and the Wolfpack were set to due battle.
Miami was set to receive the opening kickoff, with Hester back deep to return.
From five yards deep in the end zone, Hester decided to run it out and take it to the house, silencing a sold-out Carter-Finley Stadium. Miami would go on to win the ballgame 45-35. It was the second time in Hester’s career at UM that he returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown (2003 vs Florida).
