Kevin Fielder gives an in-depth, highly-detailed preview for who and what to expect from the 2019 Paradise Camp, the first one that Manny Diaz will be hosting as head coach. Dozens of big name recruits will be there, competing and mingling with some of Miami’s greatest alums.

Yours truly summarizes Dewan Hernandez’ long and arduous path to getting picked in the NBA Draft and his chances at sticking on the world champion Toronto Raptors’ roster.

Another edition of film room with Justin Dottavio. This week he’s breaking down a staple of the Air Raid offense; 95 or the Y-Crosser passing concept. Expect to see some of this worked into the 2019 offense with the slot weapons that Miami has to work with.

More of the greatest plays in Miami history! #64 is one of the greatest plays Sean Taylor ever made in a Miami jersey; his momentum-shifting kick return against Florida in 2003. And at #63, we have an underrated moment; Miami’s 4th and 17 conversion against Boston College in 1999. Reggie Wayne’s toe-dragging reception gave the Canes a first down and allowed them to kick a game-winning field goal en route to a 31-28 comeback win.

Around The Web

Paradise Camp is in full effect! Miami got their first commitment during this weekend when 2020 3-star DE Elijah Roberts announced over Twitter his re-commitment to the Canes. Expect this one to be just the first of several commits over this all-important recruiting weekend.

Speaking of, here’s some of the gorgeous #ViewsFromParadiseCamp

Dewan Hernandez has a new number with his new NBA team - 19 will look good on the Raptor’s new big man.

Over at the Sun Sentinel, they give their breakdown of how Paradise Camp can help Miami seize momentum in recruiting for 2020 and beyond. They also have a great article on how Manny Diaz is trying to ensure that, after losing Malek Young and Ahmmon Richards to career-ending neck injuries, that type of thing doesn’t happen again.

That’s all for today - remember...

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE U!
