Paradise Camp just got a whole lot sweeter for the Hurricanes, as they were able to pick up their second commit over the weekend, linebacker Cortez Mckenzie out of Lakewood High School in St.Petesburg, joined the 2021 class

Mckenzie is the third linebacker to join Miami’s 2021 recruiting class, along with South Dade (FL) Tyler Johnson and North Miami (FL) Chamon Metayer.

In just five games as a sophomore, Mckenzie racked up 45 tackles and six sacks. His season was ended early due to a concussion. Mckenzie is unranked by the recruiting services at the time.

As an outside linebacker, McKenzie comes in at 6-0, 195-pounds, and also held offers from USF and Western Michigan. He was offered by Miami back in mid May.
