The Hurricanes landed another commitment to their 2021 recruiting class. Hollywood (FL) Chaminade-Madonna K Andres Borregales announced his verbal pledge to UM on Thursday. Cam Underwood broke down the impact of landing this coveted specialist means for the program.

Miami Takes Part in Another Satellite Camp
After outside linebacker coach Jonathan Patke travelled to Rice University last Saturday to take part in the Adidas 3 Stripe Camp on the Owl’s campus, the Hurricanes were on hand for another camp on Thursday. Ephraim Banda, Erick Hickson and Mike Rumph worked at FAU’s Adidas Showcase Camp.
Another RSVP for Paradise Camp
Miami’s annual Paradise Camp is just two weeks away. Some of the nation’s best prospects will descend on Coral Gables to learn from Canes legends. No official announcement has been given regarding who will make up this year’s coaching staff, but that hasn’t stopped prospects from continuing to announce their plan to attend the event.
247 Sports three-star Cheraw (South Carolina) WR Jalen Coit landed an offer with the Hurricanes recently and has mentioned his intention to attend the camp.
Cade Finds a new Home
After announcing his intention to transfer from a crowded Miami quarterback room, former UM QB Cade Weldon has found a landing spot. Weldon will become a member of the East Tennessee State Buccaneers (FCS).

Recruiting Visits and Notes
St. Thomas Aquinas three-star LB Andy Garcia took a visit to Coral Gables with both his parents on Wednesday. Miami has yet to offer the LB, but have shown an interest in the linebacker.
Three-star Camden (NJ) LB Tirek Austin-Cave is set to visit campus this weekend for an official visit according to InsidetheU.com.
2020 Oakleaf OL Jalen Rivers will announce his commitment this coming Sunday. Miami has been fighting to get Rivers to join their class for quite a while. According to 247 Sports Crystal Ball predictions, the site has Miami’s leading with a 67% chance of landing the coveted recruit. It’s believed that the other contender to land Rivers will be the Florida Gators.
2020 four-star IMG Academy WR Micahel Redding III is set to visit UM on Saturday.
2020 four-star South Dade CB Jaiden Francois will reportedly be on campus on Sunday.

ProCanes ‘Mandatory’ Roundup
Minicamp is underway in the NFL, as the mandatory three-day practices commenced across the league. A large group of Hurricane alumni took to the practice fields as they gear up for regular season grind. Here’s some quick notes from the past few days.
Duke Johnson stirred up some conversation on the first day of practice for the Cleveland Browns. The running back has been steadfast in his request to be traded throughout the offseason. That honesty was met with some pushback from starting QB Baker Mayfield.

Hurricane Hall of Famers ???
Jerome Brown, Ray Lewis and Dan Morgan were featured on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot released this week. The 2020 Hall of Fame class will be announced before the National Championship Game. UM currently has seven players and three coaches inducted in the CFBHOF.

On Thursday, the ACC announced UM Men’s Basketball’s opponent for the 21st annual ACC/Big Ten challenge. The Hurricanes will make their first ever trip to Champaign, Illinois to square off with the Fighting Illini on December 2nd.
