Welcome to the U, Marcus Clarke

The Miami Hurricanes added to their 2020 recruiting class moments ago when Winter Park (FL) 3-star ATH Marcus Clarke committed to Manny Diaz’s Canes.

A 5’11” 175lb athlete, Clarke is someone who has skyrocketed up Miami’s board in recent months. The Canes have recruited Clarke as a CB, and that is the position at which they have accepted his commitment.

A speedy athlete who has clocked in the 4.5’s this offseason, Clarke has both speed and skill on the field. He plays all over the field for Winter Park, and was a 1,000 yard receiver in 2018, but will focus his talents on the defensive side of the ball in College.

To this point of the recruiting process, Clarke is ranked the #61 CB, #107 in the State of Florida, and #760 player in this class overall according to the 247sports composite. It should be noted, however, that Clarke’s ranking on 247’s individual site rankings is substantially higher.

Miami was Clarke’s pick over Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, and West Virginia. To this point, Clarke claims 27 offers from around the country.

Clarke is the 23rd player to commit to Miami’s 2020 recruiting class. He is the 2nd CB prospect in the group, joining Justin Hodges at that position group.
