Miami Hurricanes News & Notes: Kendrick Norton Update, Summer League Stats and More

Kendrick Norton is listed as being in stable condition

Good Morning, Canes fam.

Everyone here at SOTU still has Kendrick Norton in our thoughts and prayers and it appears Norton has stabilized. The latest coming in is that Norton’s arm was amputated and he suffered a head injury but did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. The big man has been getting a ton of support from all corners of the State of Miami and we will continue to wish him a speedy recovery.

Here’s some of your summer league stats from the huge number of ProCanes participating:

Lonnie Walker is ready for that sophomore breakout and not even an earthquake could stop him. The second year SG had 28 points, 2 points, a steal and this gorgeous layup.

Bruce Brown had a very solid game leading the Detroit Pistons over Croatia. He accounted for 12 pts, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, a block and a steal. Oh, and threw down this monster jam.

Amp Lawrence put up 8 pts, 2 rebounds, an assist and a block during the Cavs’ 75-85 loss to the T-Wolves.

Davon Reed went to work for the Warriors, posting an efficient 67% shooting and scoring 11 points. Reed also had 3 rebounds, an assist, a block, and 2 steals.
