Welcome to the initial SB Nation and State of the U FanPulse Top 25 rankings for 2019!

SB Nation put the call out to fans from all CFB team sites to rank their top 25, and here’s the results heading into the 2019 season.

Your Miami Hurricanes check in at #22 on the preseason FanPulse Top 25. For a team coming off a 7-6 season, with a new head coach and plenty of questions on offense, I think that’s about right. I fully expect Miami to end the year higher than this, so starting here is fine, to my eye.

But wait; THERE’S MORE!!

Since a bunch of you loyal, enthusiastic SOTU fans signed up for FanPulse, here’s YOUR Top 25 ballot heading into the 2019 season:

Some quick thoughts:

  • Miami checks in at 22nd in the National FanPulse Top 25, but is at 18th in our SOTU FanPulse poll.
  • Miami’s initial opponent, the Florida Gators, come in at 8th in both the national and SOTU polls.
  • Alligator Army (the SB Nation UF site) ranked Miami 22nd.
  • Tomahawk Nation (The SB Nation FSU site) ranked Miami 23rd.
  • Florida State isn’t ranked and didn’t receive votes in any site’s FanPulse Top 25. LOLOL.

So that’s it. Miami checks in at 22nd and 18th in the National and SOTU FanPulse Top 25 rankings to start the 2019 season. We’ll be back weekly with these rankings to detail the movement and discussion the action from a National and Canes-centric perspective.
