100 Greatest Plays in Miami History: #3-Wide Right III, Miami vs FSU 2000

Third time’s a charm, right? Wrong.

Matt Munyow #86

We go back to the 2000 game between the Hurricanes the Florida State Seminoles.

Just a refresher, Miami just took the lead moments before, when Ken Dorsey found Jeremy Shockey for the go-ahead touchdown to put UM up 27-24. However, FSU quarterback Chris Weinke drove the Noles down, with Matt Munyon attempting a 49-yard kick to send the game into overtime.

No good. Wide right, again. Miami wins, 27-24.
