Life is much better after a Canes victory. Miami took care of business on Saturday evening when they dismantled the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 63-0. It was a game of firsts for some. Mike Harley and Larry Hodges scored their first Canes TD, Robert Knowles rocked the Turnover Chain, and Jimmy Murphy’s touchdown celebration stole the show. There has been a sizable swell of enthusiasm coming from the victory. There has also been tempered excitement by some fans when considering the strength of the opponent.

The Positives
The #CanesFam mantra and togetherness of the squad were on full display this weekend. Last Saturday, the Canes continuity on offense, defense and game management was far better. The DeeJay Dallas show continued and several fans noticed the improvement.
That’s what I like to see!!! Canes up 28-0 at the half:

-328 yards on offense
-Balanced pass/rush attack
-0 turnovers
-Only 69 yards allowed
And Coach Diaz focused on everything we can clean up
I don’t care who we beat, the vibes on TL are different when the #Canes win. I love y’all #CANESfam

The Negatives
Even after winning ACC Rookie of the week, Jarren Williams continues to come under scrutiny by some fans. Bubba Baxa hasn’t proved to be reliable in the early tilt of the season. After watching the Kentucky Wildcats’ loss to the Florida Gators, it seems that there are several teams with the same issue. One Canes fan questioned how the team recruits the valued position, while another just went off the rails and dejectedly declared that we suck.
The kicking issue is much bigger than just Bubba Baxa. Teams are so heavily recruiting kickers based on camps instead of in game work (Baxa was 5-9 as a HS Sr) that it’s hard to measure actual game pressure. Need to find a balance if we want the kicking game to improve.

40 year fan but the U as lost their minds, we suck, you beat a shit team, Clemson would score 100 to 0 on us in the 1st half if they wanted to!

I think N’Kosi should be the QB1 as well but Jarren doing his thing so I guess it’s cool.

With Central Michigan coming up, how do you weigh victories vs the strength of the opponent? Can you not trust the progression of this team until the Virginia Tech and Virginia games?
