2021 WR commit George helping Plantation High into the state rankings

Miami 2021 wide receiver verbal commitment Jacolby George has helped his Plantation High team to a 3-0 start and statewide recognition early on during the 2019 season.

The Colonels are ranked No.9 in Class 7A according to FloridaHSFootball.com heading into week five of high school football in the state of Florida and have outscored their opponents 134-9.

247Sports.com also updated George’s personal ranking in the Class of 2021 this week and he is now ranked the No.44 wide receiver nationally and in the top ten of 2021 in-state wide receivers.

Plantation will take on Miramar Everglades tonight on the road at 7pm in search of a 4-0 start to the season. The game will serve as the Colonels’ final tune-up game for their huge District 7A-14 matchup with Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas on September 27.

Class of 2020 Verbal Commitments

Quarterback

Tyler Van Dyke, Suffield (Ct.) Academy: The Tigers will play Deerfield (Ma.) Academy on Saturday at 3pm.

Running Back

Donald Chaney, Miami Belen Jesuit: The Wolverines, who have won two games in a row after starting the season 0-2, will take on Miami Southwest tonight at 7pm at home. Chaney dominated in Belen’s 38-14 win over Naples Gulf Coast last week.

Wide Receivers

Michael Redding III, Bradenton IMG Academy: The Ascenders host Washington (D.C.) St. John’s on Saturday at 2pm. IMG beat Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep 31-25 last week and Redding was No.3 on Sportscaster’s Top Ten after making this catch.

Marcus Fleming, Miami Northwestern: The Bulls travel to Georgia to take on Valdosta Lowndes tonight at 8pm.

Xavier Restrepo, Deerfield Beach: The Bucks host Orlando Oak Ridge tonight at 7pm.

Tight End

Dominic Mammarelli, Naples: The Golden Eagles will host Lehigh Senior tonight at 7:30pm in search of their fifth consecutive win to start the season.

Offensive Line

Jalen Rivers, Orange Park Oakleaf: Oakleaf hosts Jacksonville White tonight at 7pm.

Antonio Smith, Ocala Vanguard: Vanguard does not have a game this week.

Chris Washington, Nashville (Tn.) Overton: The Bobcats host Spring Hill (Tn.) Summit tonight at 7pm in search of their first victory of the season.

Defensive Line

Chantz Williams, Orange Park Oakleaf: Oakleaf hosts Jacksonville White tonight at 7pm.

Willie Moise, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna: The Lions hit the road to play Delray Beach Atlantic tonight at 6:30pm. According to Andrew Ivins of 247Sports.com, Moise will not play in this game or for the rest of the season because of a torn labrum.

Elijah Roberts, Miami Columbus: The Explorers are off this week.

Tre’von Riggins, St. Petersburg Lakewood: The Spartans still have not allowed a point this season as they have outscored opponents 166-0 in four victories. They will take on Bradenton Braden River tonight at home at 7pm.

Quentin Williams, Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek: The Mavericks have a bye this week.

Linebackers

Romello Height, Dublin (Ga.): The Fighting Irish take on Quitman (Ga.) Brooks County tonight at 7:30pm on the road.

Tirek Austin-Cave, Camden (N.J.): Camden hosts Haddonfield (N.J.) Paul VI tonight at 6pm.

Alvin Mathis, Largo: The Packers will take on Palmetto tonight at home at 7:30pm.

Corey Flagg, Houston (Tx.) North Shore: Per Andrew Ivins of 247Sports, Flagg was injured in North Shore’s 38-7 win over Missouri City (Tx.) Ridge Point on September 5 and will miss the regular season.

Jaiden Francois, Homestead South Dade: The Buccaneers have a bye this week.

Keshawn Washington, Homestead South Dade: The Buccaneers have a bye this week.
