There’s been a lot of speculation about the outcome of Saturday night’s primetime matchup with the North Carolina Tar Heels. Fans have been gauging each other’s level of nervousness and conviction when it comes to winning this ACC Coastal battle. Here are 10 over and under picks to get you primed for this war in Chapel Hill.

Jarren Williams: 200 Passing Yards

Jarren Williams threw for more than 200 yards against a very good Florida Gators defense. In his week 1 matchup with UNC, South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley only amassed 142 yards passing. He also added 2 INTs to the mix. When Jarren Williams has time, he’s shown good accuracy and the ability to make the correct reads. In his second start, are you taking the over or under that Jarren will match his week 0 stat line?

DeeJayDallas: 100 Rushing Yards

DeeJay Dallas led the Hurricanes in rushing against the Gators. He had 11 attempts, for 94 yards, and a TD. 40 of those yards came on a spectacular and dazzling run up the sideline. South Carolina average 4.1 yards each time they toted the rock last week. As as team, they gained 128 yards rushing. Do yo think Dallas’ talent gets him over the century mark this weekend?

Cam’Ron Harris: 50 Rushing Yards

Cam’Ron Harris’ week 0 stats ring in at 6 rushing attempts for 15 yards. The talented sophomore back got into the mix however, the flow of the game didn’t allow for much of a give-and-take at the position. Both Tavien Feaster and Rico Dowdle gained more than 50 yards on the ground against UNC. Do you think the Canes combo will match that bar?

Brevin Jordan: 2 TDs

To nobody’s surprise, Brevin Jordan was a dynamic receiving threat the last time the Canes took the field. He averaged 17.6 yards a reception and finished with 88 yards and 1 TD. The lone passing TD the Tar Heels surrendered last week was to junior TE Kyle Markway. Brevin is an electric mismatch and his ability to be move tight end may be too much to handle for UNC. How are you feeling about Jordan’s chances to wear the touchdown rings more than once this week?

K.J. Osborn 50 Yards & 1 TD & Jeff Thomas 50 Yards & 1 TD

Speaking of the passing game, UNC did a great job with their perimeter matchups last week. The longest pass the defense surrendered was for only 26 yards. K.J. Osborn and Jeff Thomas are a much more talent duo than the pair the Gamecocks took the field with. Osborn average 10 yards a catch in his first game as a Cane. Thomas can take the top off of any defense within a blink of an eye. Is this the week where the playmakers show up in a big way?

4 Sacks on Defense

The pass rush was a huge topic of conversation after the loss in Orlando. South Carolina was able to get QB Sam Howell on the ground three times last week. As we’ve seen with our protection woes, the best way to stifle an offense is to put the quarterback under duress. This should be a favorable matchup when you consider our stable of pass rushers and Howell’s lack of mobility.

Shaquille Quarterman: 8 Tackles

The Tar Heels ran the ball a whopping 52 times against South Carolina. The ramped up attempts delivered more than 200 (238) yards on the ground. With a true freshman quarterback, this trend should continue. Shaquille Quarterman had 4 total tackles against the Gators. With Mack Brown choosing to pound the rock, the man in the middle will get ample opportunities to double this number.

Gurvan Hall Jr. : 5 Tackles

Gurvan Hall led the team with 8 total tackles . The Tar Heels’ desire to run the ball won’t just be a front seven’s job to deal with. This game will be another chance for the sophomore safety to continue his physical play.

Trajan Bandy: 1 INT

Trajan Bandy was tremendous in week 0. He was consistently around the ball and was a sure tackler. He can be a truly dynamic playmaker in the secondary. With a young and inexperienced signal caller under the helm for UNC, this game may be one where Bandy gets his hands on a pass.

Turnover Chain Appearances: 5

The new and improved 305 turnover chain made an appearance 4 times in Orlando. The sold-out crowd in Chapel Hill will be in for a show if Miami can continue our ski mask ways and steal the ball away. Sam Howell had two fumbles last week in his game against South Carolina. He was fortunate enough to recover one. He didn’t have any interceptions in his debut but as we know, when you play the Canes, they’re bound to happen.
