A veritable smorgasbord of games to enjoy before Miami takes on North Carolina later tonight

NCAA Football: Georgia Tech at Clemson Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back to College Football Saturday!

While your Miami Hurricanes take on the North Carolina Tar Heels at 8pm tonight, there are PLENTY of other games to enjoy until the game that you, and we, are most interested in watching.

While you watch games from coast to coast today, hop in the comments and talk about the action as it happens. And, in case you needed to know who to root for in games with ACC teams, we’ve got you covered on that front:

And now, the full list of games on tap today. We won’t have a late-window gamethread because, well, THE MIAMI HURRICANES PLAY THEN!!!!!! So our focus will go from general CFB to specific about the Canes in the primetime TV slot later tonight.

Bye weeks don’t start for a while (week 1 byes for teams who played week 0 notwithstanding) so almost every team is playing today. There were a couple Friday Night games, with only 1 ranked team playing— Boise State.

The game of the week, other than the Canes game of course, is #12 Texas A&M at #1 Clemson. This is the only game between ranked teams, and likely Clemson’s toughest regular season test. aTm ALMOST beat Clemson in College Station last year, their roster is chock FULL of blue-chip talent, and coach Jimbo Fisher has beaten Clemson several times previously from his time at Florida State. Oh, and QB Kellen Mond is pretty damn good and I’m sure he’s looking to show that Clemson superstar Trevor Lawrence isn’t the only high caliber signal-caller in the stadium this afternoon.

That’s the game I’ll be most closely watching while waiting for Miami to hit the field. Here’s the full schedule for you:
