Smith was originally apart of the 2020 signing class for the Washington State Cougars, but was released from his NLI following Mike Leach’s move to become head coach at Mississippi State.
247Sports has Smith ranked as the 127th wide receiver in the 2020 cycle, and caught 46 passes for 808 yards and 8 touchdowns his senior season.
Smith is the fourth wide receiver in Miami’s 2020 class, joining Michael Redding III, Xavier Restrepo and Dazalin Worsham. UM is working to get Smith enrolled in the spring semester at Miami.
