Miami Hurricanes 2021 defensive end recruit Thomas Davis helped Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes to a big rivalry game win last Friday night.

Lowndes topped rival Valdosta (Ga.) High 33-21 in a “Winnersville Classic” game that was broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

Davis finished the game with a sack and five tackles. He also reportedly did a little recruiting for the Hurricanes during the game.

2022 quarterback Jacurri Brown, who holds an offer from Miami, led Valdosta’s offense and put the finishing touches on the game with this run.

Lowndes is now 5-0 and has not scored less than 30 points in any game this season.

In Florida, 2021 striker verbal commitment Chase Smith did not get to play his scheduled game against Cocoa High because of a COVID-19 issue.

2021 defensive back commitment Malik Curtis and 2022 defensive line commitment Brandon Cleveland did not have statistics available after their games from last Friday.

247sports.com reported that 2021 kicker Andres Borregales did not play for Hialeah-Champagnat Catholic in its 45-27 loss to Miami Gardens-Tru Prep Academy.
