The “Winnersville Classic” will feature at least one future Miami Hurricane tonight.
2021 Miami defensive line commitment Thomas Davis will lead Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes against crosstown rival Valdosta (Ga.) tonight at 8pm. The game will be broadcast nationally by ESPN2.
The game will feature star power on both sidelines and a notable player who likely will not participate.
Lowndes is led by 2022 quarterback Jacurri Brown, a four-star prospect who holds an offer from Miami. In total, there are at least 10 players with Division I offers set to suit up in tonight’s rivalry game.
One notable player not expected to play tonight is Valdosta quarterback Jake Garcia. Garcia, a USC verbal commitment who holds a Miami offer, was declared ineligible by the Georgia High School Association after moving from California with his father over the summer to play for legendary Valdosta coach Rush Propst.
