Week Eight ProCane of the Week: RB/DeeJay Dallas - The Seahawks fourth round rookie, DeeJay Dallas, made the most out of his first opportunity in tangible action this past weekend. Dallas played 79% of the offensive snaps and handled 23 touches for 68 scrimmage yards. However, Dallas found the endzone on two occasions, one by air and one by ground. He also threw up the U after his first TD. He saw increased action due to the absence of RB1 and RB2, Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde. Also, fellow ProCane, Travis Homer, was slowed by injury. This week, Dallas could continue to get a shot on the offense as Carson and Hyde are both out. Dallas’ 17.8 Fantasy Points against the 49ers in Week 8 gave him the second most single game score for a ProCane on the season behind TE, Jimmy Graham, who put up 18.0 points in Week 3.

ProCanes Week Eight Highlights:
Sticking to the RBs, Ravens Gus Edwards also had an impressive day on 16 rushes for 87 yards and a TD. Edwards took advantage of the absence of RB1, Mark Ingram, and saw an increase in snaps out of the backfield along with rookie, J.K. Dobbins. Edwards is technically listed out of Rutgers as he spent his graduate transfer season for the Scarlet Knights.
There was also some impressive play from the group that opens up the front offensive trench for the RBs. ProCane OL, Jon Feliciano, made his debut back from injury and started 100% of the offensive snaps. Feliciano graded phenomenally according to ProFootballFocus (PFF) with a 79.6 overall grade, including a 78.6 run block grade. Feliciano had end of season surgery in January to his shoulder and it was originally feared that he would miss the entire 2020 season. The Bills, who should be a contender in the now open AFC East, welcome back Feliciano’s presence, especially as rookie RB, Zack Moss, had a breakout performance this past Sunday.

Miami Dolphins OL, Ereck Flowers, continues to impress after receiving a lucrative contract this past offseason. The ProCane originally looked like a bust as a top ten 2015 draft pick but has been a steady presence for the Dolphins. His PFF grade on the season for pass blocking is 72.5. Jaguars Center and Captain, Brandon Linder, also continues to impress with a 74.0 Overall PFF Grade on the season, including an 86.3 pass block grade. Lastly, Chiefs OL, Danny Isidora, played his first two snaps of the season.
Giants LB, Trent Harris, also hit that stat line for the first time this season with his first two tackles on the season. Chargers Safety, Rayshawn Jenkins, continues to be a defensive stalwart, as he strung together 7 tackles and 1 INT, his first of the season. Jenkins performance earned him a PFF Grade of 90.0, which was the best Safety grade for Week 8. Browns DE, Olivier Vernon, also had a solid day with 4 tackles and 2 sacks.
Special Teams ProCanes are important too, as Bears Punter, Pat O’Donnell, has been a reliable field position guy all season. This past week, he average 50.0 yards/punt on 4 punts. For the season, O’Donnell has 16 punts inside the 20-yard line, which ranks 2nd best in the NFL. Chargers Kicker, Michael Badgley, had a perfect day Sunday going 3/3 on FGs and 3/3 on XPs, which included a long of 52-yards.
Week Nine Projected ProCane of the Week: DE/Calais Campbell - In my opinion, Campbell is the best active ProCane. Campbell has been a force to be reckoned with on the DL as he has 6 PDs on the year. The next most for a DE? Jadeveon Clowney with 4. Campbell draws a favorable matchup against the Colts and QB, Phillip Rivers, who delivers the ball in an unorthodox sidearm manner that is susceptible to deflections at the line of scrimmage.
Harris led NFL defensive linemen with 9 pass deflections last year. He's tied for third this year with 3, trailing only Calais Campbell (6), Jadeveon Clowney (4). #9sports https://t.co/1AHXh3Em5N
