Week 13 ProCane of the Week: RB/Gus Edwards - Edwards is technically listed as a ProScarlet Knight as he joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent after his final year of school at Rutgers. However, Gus the Bus spent four years at the U before becoming a grad transfer in 2017.
In Tuesday Night Football, Edwards led the barrage of a rushing attack that is the Baltimore Ravens in their victory over the hapless Dallas Cowboys. Edwards only saw 18 offensive snaps (33%) and 7 rushes, but made the most of his appearance by rushing for 101 yards (14.4 yards a carry). This included three carries over 20 yards and a long of 36 yards. To provide context, Dallas Cowboys star running back, Ezekiel Elliott, has just one carry this whole season of more than 20 yards.
Crazy stat of the day: Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott has one carry of more than 20 yards this season.

The #Ravens' Gus Edwards had three such carries on seven total attempts last night.
ProCanes Week 13 Highlights:
Week 13 was a pretty weak week for ProCanes. However, as I noted in last week’s update, the ProCanes definitely looked flashy in support of the NFL’s coolest philanthropic initiative - the My Cause My Cleats campaign. During Week 13, NFL players raised awareness for non-profit organizations and causes on the field by donning dope cause-inspired cleats. ProCanes opted for a number of charities ranging from social justice causes, health & wellness, military, or anything else that is near and dear to them. Here is a list of the player’s who participated:
Braxton Berrios/WR NYJ: American Brain Tumor Association
Lawrence Cager/WR NYJ: Living Classroom
Jimmy Graham/TE CHI: The Jimmy Graham Foundation
Deon Bush/CB CHI: Doby’s Dream
Sheldrick Redwine/S CLE: Mental Health; The Gloria Redwine Foundation
DeeJay Dallas/RB SEA: Justice For Black Girls
K.J. Osborn/WR MINN: All Square Foundation for Social Justice
Olivier Vernon/DE CLE: Coats Disease, Jack McGovern Coats Disease Foundation
Michael Badgley/K LAC: Brooke Healey Foundation
Pat O’Donnell/P CHI: Gittlen Cancer Research Fund
KC McDermott/OL JAX: Wounded Warrior Project
Shaquille Quarterman/LB JAX: Fuel Up to Play 60
Brandon Linder/OL JAX: Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation
Al-Quadin Muhammad/DE IND: Black Lives Matter
Duke Johnson/RB HOU: Anger Management
To stick with the charitable theme, this week was also the week where Walter Payton Men of the Year were nominated for each team. The Walter Payton Man of the Year Award is given out every year and honors a player’s volunteer and charity work. Last year, ProCane Calais Campbell was named the Man of the Year among the 32 nominees (Campbell is also his team’s representative this year for the 2020 Art Rooney Award, in recognition of outstanding sportsmanship on the field).
This year, the Chicago Bears TE, Jimmy Graham, will represent his team for the Walter Payton award and is the lone ProCane who will be doing so. Graham has been heavily involved with helping at-risk youth in Chicago. Namely, he has arranged for helicopter and airplane rides for at-risk kids and military veterans through his charity - the Jimmy Graham Foundation.
I’m extremely grateful and humbled by the nomination. What a group of guys to be a part of with the present nominees and the past winners, especially Walter Payton. I hope a true light is shined on the foundations and organizations giving efforts in our local communities. Thank U pic.twitter.com/wJRAmlc8Yv

Week 14 Projected ProCane of the Week: CB/Corn Elder - Have the Broncos figured out who their quarterback will be yet and is it someone who isn’t picked up from the practice squad mere hours before gametime? Corn Elder has been performing well this year and has the opportunity to continue that success against a struggling Denver team. With Corn’s 69.0 ProFootballFocus grade, he should thrive in coverage reading the eyes of their QB, Drew Lock.
