Can D’Eriq King Really Be A Candidate To Win The Heisman At Miami?

After producing a 50 touchdown season, is D’Eriq King able to have similar success in the ACC?

When Miami introduced new OC, Rhett Lashlee, he wasted no time and started following one of the top QB’s in the nation. Fast forward to now, and Miami potentially has one of our best QB’s in program history. I can't remember the last time we have had someone at the QB position with so much explosiveness and still manage to make most throws on the field.

Heading into the season, D’Eriq King is already a top candidate for the Heisman award. He is a pure athlete that is able to excel in a spread, up tempo offense. The addition of King adds proven experience to the room and gives us better play making ability at the QB position when our OL struggles.

In the video above, he talks about some things that we can expect from our newly acquired QB! One part of the video he talks about King’s performance against Texas Tech, so I went ahead and took a look... and I was amazed by his accuracy and his ability to become a pocket passer.

With my belief in the fact that Miami has the most talented roster in the Coastal, I believe King will utilize the talent around him and be able to transfer his success over to the ACC. I would say he is already a better QB than Bryce Perkins, and we know how much he carried Virginia to successful seasons.

Since he announced his transfer to Miami, I can proudly say that I have watched an insane amount of his highlights from his Junior year. He is everything we thought Tate Martell would be, but has been able to prove what he can do with the ball in his hands.

CANE FANS... ITS TIME TO REALIZE WHO WE HAVE AT THE QB POSITION FOR THE 2020 SEASON!!!!

My season predictions for D’Eriq King :

3,600 passing yards, 34 TD’s , 7 int’s, 580 rushing yards, and adding 12 rushing touchdowns on the ground.

GO CANES!
