The Miami Hurricanes got some great recruiting news on Tuesday evening, 2021 running back Thad Franklin out of Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Hollywood, FL) announced on social media that he’d be re-committing to UM. Franklin de-committed at the end of 2019.

Franklin is considered to be the best running back in the state of Florida when it comes to the 2021 cycle. Franklin enjoyed an incredible junior season, where he rushed for 2,282 yards and 28 touchdowns. 247Sports has Franklin ranked as the 11th RB in the 2021 class.

The Hurricanes landed perhaps the top two running backs in Florida for the 2020 cycle, in Don Chaney and Jaylon Knighton. If they’re able to hold onto Franklin, the Miami backfield is going to be looking very nice for the next several years.
Huge recruiting victory for Manny Diaz and his staff.
