With Miami landing offensive lineman Ryan Rodriguez on Monday, the Canes now look to the next player they look to add to their 2021 recruiting class. One of those guys is 4-star wide receiver Jacolby George out of Plantation High School.
The South Florida product is a former Miami commit, and UM has reportedly been trying hard to get him back to the Canes 2021 class. I’ve been a big fan of George and his game for a long time now, and love the way he plays the position of receiver. With his playmaking ability and talent in open space, George would make a great fit for Rhett Lashlee’s up-tempo offense.

So many things jump out at you when you watch George’s film, but the two biggest things for me is his ability to go up and get the football, and also his tremendous speed. In his junior season, George was a breakout star for Plantation, with over 1,000 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, while averaging 22.4 yards per reception. Andrew Ivins from 247Sports has even compared George to Ahmmon Richards.

Even with a plethora of talented wide receivers in the 2021 recruiting cycle, George is still near the top of the list for players that Miami needs to keep in South Florida and bring to Coral Gables.
