Student of the Game’s 2021 Quarterback Series takes aim on current Texas Longhorn commit Jalen Milroe

Jalen Milroe is a 6’3” 194 pound dual threat force who resides in Katy (don’t call me Perry) Texas. The Tompkins high school star threw for an impressive 2689 yards in the air including 29 touchdowns via air mail.

This is a dual threat by every sense of the imagination. He has the ability to plant his foot and make a house call or send a surgical strike via his right arm. Milroe also compiled eight rushing touchdowns and amassed 375 rushing yards as a runner.

Obviously some Hurricane traction picked up with the long time Longhorn commit when D’Eriq King’s training partner was seen in this candid photo op. A Rhett Lashlee offer was soon to follow and at least a quick look under the quarterback hood was necessary.

Milroe is a remarkable athlete who has a refined quarterbacking skill set. Milroe is patient in the passing game and is constantly looking to pay dividends as a thrower first. Many times he “could have” ran but opted to throw a brilliantly placed pall instead.

He showed a 60 plus yard capable arm with the confidence to make throws to the wide side of the field. As a thrower mechanically, Milroe has the ability to improve and even increase his trajectory and velocity.

I would still classify Milroe as an effortless thrower who doesn’t have any hitch elongations or mechanical issues that would impede his progress.

As customary for the State of The U faithful we have a lengthy video that highlights this prospect’s potential. Popcorn is a must, pencils are optional and cue the Picture Pages theme song. Only because I think if you are old enough to remember it you get an A in my book. Student of the Game Quarterback breakdown edition is upon us friends.
