Welcome BACK to the U, Jacolby George

Talented local WR decides that home is where the heart is.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Miami Hurricanes added a big play element to the 2021 recruiting class when Plantation (FL) 4-star WR Jacolby George committed to the Canes for a 2nd time.

A speedy 5’11” 161lbs, George has the big play ability Miami is looking for at receiver. George showcased his talents with 46 catches for 1030 yards and 12 TDs as a junior. That came on the heels of a sophomore season in which George had 28 catches for 620 yards and 9 TDs.

George previously committed to Miami in June of 2019 and maintained that commitment until November. With Miami in the midst of a terrible season, George decommitted to evaluate his options across the CFB landscape. After months of virtual visits, George decided that the time was now to make his choice known: he was coming back to the University of Miami!

George is the 15th commitment to Miami’s 2021 recruiting class. He is the 2nd highest rated commit at the time of this article, and the 3rd pass catcher in the group, joining TEs Elijah Arroyo and Khalil Brantley (though I still believe ATH Malik Curtis is a perfect fit for offense instead of defense but I digress).
