The Hurricanes should finish no worse than 10-2 with this schedule and the talent The U has on campus.

The ACC has released the 2021 Miami Hurricanes football schedule. Coming off of a COVID shortened and strange 2020 season, let’s hope things are closer to normal for ‘21. Manny Diaz is back for year three as the head football coach and will take over as the defensive play caller. Quarterback D’Eriq King is expected to be back from his ACL injury in time to face the Crimson Tide, let’s all hope so.

The Hurricanes will open the season with a neutral site game against the Alabama Crimson Tide on September 4th. The ‘Canes are then set to host Appalachian State, Michigan State, Central Connecticut and Virginia after the showdown with Bama. Thats quite the four game home stretch before the open week on October 8th.

Miami then alternates road and home games starting with a trip to Chapel Hill to face the UNC Tar Heels, hosting NC State, playing at Pitt, hosting Georgia Tech, heading to Tallahassee to play Florida State, hosting Virginia Tech and finishing the season with the big Thanksgiving weekend rivalry in Durham against the Duke Blue Devils.

Prediction

With the amount of talent Miami has acquired there is no reason for the Hurricanes to come out of this season with anything short of a 10-2 record. While Alabama is the cream of the crop and UNC returns Sam Howell, the ACC is weak, the Coastal is weaker and the Hurricanes need to take it to the next level.

9/4 vs. Alabama (neutral) L (No chance... NO CHANCE IN HELL!)

9/11 Appalachian State W (They aren’t as good as they were when Richt pounded them)

9/18 Michigan State W (MSU will be a tough out but if the S&C is up to par it’s a W)

9/25 Central Conn. W (who?!)

9/30 UVA W (UVA is a tough out but can’t score on offense)

10/16 @ UNC L (Howell loses top three skill guys, but Heels will reload)

10/23 NCSU W (Close game again, but Pack shouldn’t beat ‘Canes)

10/30 @ Pitt W (Pitt can’t score enough points to beat Miami)

11/6 Georgia Tech W (Jackets haven’t won more than 3 games under Collins)

11/13 @ FSU W (Noles are a total disaster)

11/20 Virginia Tech W (Hokies have lost another QB, Fuente’s last stand)

11/27 @ Duke W (Cutcliffe will retire after the season)

2021 Prediction: 10-2 (10-3 with bowl loss)
