“I’ve never been satisfied with not being the best,” Bolden said in a video released to his personal Twitter account. “My college journey has been filled with many highs and lows, yet I continue to be committed to the pursuit of greatness. I am by no means a finished product. I have many areas of development and improvement. Furthermore, my brothers and I have some unfinished business to handle next season. Therefore, I am excited to announce that I will return to the University of Miami for my senior year.”

The 2020 All ACC Second-Team safety was one of Miami’s breakout stars this past season. Bolden led Miami in tackles (74), forced fumbles (4), and blocked kicks (2) last season.

This decision comes after starting QB D’Eriq King and starting RB Cam’Ron Harris decided to come back to the University for the 2021 season.

Defensive Ends Jaelan Phillips and Quincy Roche have chosen to forgo their remaining eligibility and enter the 2021 NFL Draft.

Miami’s safety room will be crowded next season, with Bolden, Amari Carter, Gurvan Hall, and freshman Brian Balom who all got playing time this season returning.

Things should get interesting as five-star safety James Williams joins the group. So will Avanatae Williams, the number one safety in the 2020 recruiting cycle. He missed all of 2020 with an undisclosed medical issue.

The Hurricanes also have safeties Jalen Harrell and Keshawn Washington from the 2020 recruiting class. Miami just signed four-star safety Kamren Kinchens from Miami Northwwestern this month.
