We meet again, Canes fam.
After a bye week, the Miami Hurricanes head on the road for the first time all year (the Alabama game was neutral site and doesn’t count) for what in the presesaon figured to be the defining game of the ACC Coastal season is now.....well....not. But, in any event, it’s still a game that Miami desperately needs to win. Oh yeah, and it’s on the road in Chapel Hill against the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Here are some things to get your day started:
Film Preview
Another week, another chance to learn something about the game we love. Here’s Justin Dottavio with your X’s and O’s preview for tonight’s game. What can Miami do to take advantage of a not-great defense? What can the Canes do to get pressure on Sam Howell and curtail Carolina’s passing attack? Is there any chance the Heels run for a million yards again? What are the Canyonero Keys to Victory? Click the link and find out:

...Tools of Incompetence, That Build Monuments To Nothingness
That’s what excuses are. And, according to John Michaels and Justin Dottavio both, Miami has far too many of them at the moment.
Excuses, Excuses, Excuses

The #Canes seem to have more excuses than wins, and this must stop. https://t.co/LZBZa0DuWo pic.twitter.com/8BH5ygrAcv
You know what can curtail the excuses and coach-speak?
Winning.

Carl Bleich’s 3 things to watch
And lastly, Canes Hoops got 2 commits on Friday. 3-star SF Danilo Jovanovich from Wisconsin picked Miami. Then 4-star forward AJ Casey followed suit. Casey is by far the bigger get of the two, and could be one of the biggest steals nationally in this recruiting class.
A high-major talent from Chicago, Casey’s ranking has slipped a bit from when he was the #1 player in Illinois for the last 3 years, but at 6’8” with length and skill, Miami might have just lucked into a great fit for the program.
AJ Casey, the No. 112 overall prospect in the 2022 class, has committed to Miami, a source told @247Sports. || Story: https://t.co/s8490lhx4S pic.twitter.com/1Yk2cZzynl
