Storm Center, October 18th: Canes open as underdogs to NC State; Season of Misery continues

It’s Monday, and the show goes on....

NCAA Football: Miami at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back to another week, Canes fam. So, to start the week, let’s look back at the weekend that was...

Miami loses shoot-out on the road, fall to North Carolina 45-42

Man. Will anything go right for this team? Miami got down early (again), couldn’t get anything going on offense in the first half (again), made some serious halftime adjustments (again), clawed their way back into the game (again), and had the ball deep in opposing territory late in the game with a chance to tie or win (again)...........and found a way to lose.....AGAIN.

Last time out, it was playing it safe and going for a last second field goal that blew up in Miami’s face. This time, it was a pass trying to get into the endzone that went painfully awry at the bitter end of the game.

Sports are cruel.

With many SOTUers either at the game or at watch parties (me, it was me), we didn’t have the normal recap, 3 stars, and good/bad/ugly this week. But, Justin Dottavio had his weekly film review, which is always can’t-miss content for your Monday morning.

Miami Opens as Underdog to NC State

I mean, you didn’t expect anything else, did you?

Over/Under opened at 53 also, for anyone wondering.

I fully expect NC State to be a ~ touchdown favorite by kickoff.

NO ACC NETWORK THIS WEEK!!!

According to ESPN’s website, Miami-NC State will be broadcast on ESPN2. So, you don’t have to play the “do I have ACC Network?!!?” game again this week.

So enjoy the show, if you’re not coming to the stadium, that is.

That’s all I’ve got for today kids.

Make it a marvelous Monday!
