Happy Tuesday everybody. Let’s start by talking about the Canes, shall we?
RB Cam’Ron Harris out for the year
In his weekly Monday morning radio appearance on The Joe Rose Show, Manny Diaz announced that RB Cam’Ron Harris will miss the rest of the season due to injury.
Miami’s starting RB, Harris had been a constant on an offense that had seen another player at the position already have their season ended due to injury (Donald Chaney Jr.), and another player miss time due to suspension (Jaylan Knighton). And through it all, Harris was there.
But, following an apparent knee injury sustained in the 45-42 loss at North Carolina on Saturday, Harris’s 2021 season is now over.
Far and away Miami’s leading rusher to this point of the season, Harris’s absence carrying the ball, and also as blitz pickup pass protector will be missed.
Harris joins QB D’Eriq King, RB Donald Chaney Jr., and C Corey Gaynor on the list of key offensive players whose seasons have been cut short due to injury.
We wish Cam Harris a successful surgery and safe recovery moving forward.
Déjà Vu All Over Again
Remember when Miami had a commitment from 4-star CB Tre’Quon Fegans? The 6’2” Alabama native DB was one of the gems of the 2022 recruiting class and a major, MAJOR recruiting win for new CB coach DeMarcus Van Dyke and DB coach/recruiting monster Travaris Robinson.
Then Miami started losing.
Then Fegans decommitted from Miami.
Then, Monday, Fegans made another commitment. And no, it wasn’t to Miami.

So let’s recap: before the season, Miami went into the heart of SEC country and got one of the best CBs in the country to commit to Miami over Alabama and everybody else in the country....then actively undid that good work, which led to Fegans’s decommitment, and then he decided to join Death Row and commit to Alabama.
On the field or off, Miami keeps catching L’s this season.
Cool bro.

In case you were wondering what jersey combination Miami’s gonna be rocking this weekend, wonder no more.

That’s it for today. I wonder what today will bring. I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.
