A few teams had byes this past week, but a hierarchy in the conference is finally starting to emerge. Miami, unfortunately, is in the worst place they’ve been since the 70s and is now just playing for bowl eligibility is about the only goal left. There are a couple of big games coming up in the next few weeks which will determine who goes to Charlotte.

  1. Wake Forest (6-0) - Wake had a bye and will look to stay unbeaten this weekend. Next Game @ Army

2. North Carolina St (5-1) - The Wolfpack got 3 TDs from Devin Leary in an easy 33-7 win over BC. Next Game @ Miami

3. Pittsburgh (5-1) - Pitt is the class of the Coastal division after an easy 28-7 win over VT. Kenny Pickett is entering Heisman contention. Next Game Clemson

4. Clemson (4-2) - The offense is still not right, but their defense will keep them in every game. Next Game @ Pittsburgh

5. Virginia (5-2) - Suddenly the Cavaliers are in the thick of the Coastal race. They rolled 48-0 over Duke. Next Game Georgia Tech

6. Boston College (4-2) - The Eagles were blown out but with everyone around them struggling they stay put. Next Game Louisville

7. Virginia Tech (3-3) - The Hokies fell a game back in the Coastal after a blowout loss to Pitt 28-7. Next Game Syracuse

8. Louisville (3-3) - The Cardinals had a bye and now look to push towards a bowl bid. Next Game Boston College

9. Georgia Tech (3-3) - The Jackets had a bye and look to build a winning streak. Next Game @Virginia

10. Florida St (2-4) - The Seminoles had a bye, but look for their 3rd win in a row. Next Game UMass

11. North Carolina (4-3) - Carolina got a great offensive performance in a 45-42 win over Miami. Their defense got a late pick to survive. Next Game @ Notre Dame

12. Syracuse (3-4) - Syracuse fought hard but came up short in a 17-14 loss to Clemson. Next Game @ Virginia Tech

13. Duke (3-4) - Are they better than Miami? Probably not, but they stay above the Canes at least for this week. Next Game @ Wake Forest

14. Miami (2-4) - Another week, another loss, this time 45-42 at North Carolina. Miami is the worst team in the conference which is a disappointment. Next Game North Carolina St
