Miami Hurricanes 2022 quarterback verbal commitment Jacurri Brown had another big game for Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes last Friday.
Lowndes topped region rival Colquitt County (Ga.) 52-31 behind four total touchdowns from Brown. The 6-foot-4 high school senior passed for 188 yards and two touchdowns while adding 75 yards rushing and two more touchdowns.
The victory clinched the region championship for the Vikings, their second in three years with Brown at the helm as quarterback.
2022 cornerback verbal commitment Chris Graves continued his outstanding senior season for Fort Myers Bishop Verot last Friday.
Graves caught a receiving touchdown and made a key interception late in the game as the Vikings topped rival Sarasota Cardinal Mooney 28-17 for their second consecutive win.
The interception was the second of the season for Graves, who was bumped up to the No. 115 player overall in the Class of 2022 by 247Sports.com this week.
Graves was relatively quiet offensively compared to previous games because of the creative coverages he drew much of the night from Cardinal Mooney.
In Tennessee, 2022 wide receiver verbal commitment Isaiah Horton caught a 20-yard touchdown for Murfreesboro Oakland in its 49-10 victory over South Pittsburg. He also threw a 64-yard touchdown pass on a trick play.
Oakland is now 9-0 on the season ranked No.26 in the MaxPreps nationally.
Before unofficially visiting Miami for the North Carolina State victory, Justin Medlock made five tackles in the Manvel (Tx.) 70-14 win over Fort Bend Kempner (Tx.).
2022 wide receiver verbal commitment Landon Ibieta caught four passes for 103 yards in a loss last Friday. Included in that total was a 55-yard touchdown touchdown catch.
